Terms of Service

Stirpi is operated by Matthew Cranford, doing business as Cranford Custom Code ("we," "us," "Stirpi"), a sole proprietorship based in Utah, USA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Matthew Cranford (d/b/a Cranford Custom Code). By creating an account, installing our browser extension, or otherwise using Stirpi, you agree to these Terms and to our Security & Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Stirpi. If you use Stirpi on behalf of a household, trust, or entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.

Stirpi is a private ledger that helps you view, organize, and understand your household's financial picture — bank accounts, brokerages, real estate, and collectible vaults. Third-party providers (Plaid for banking, RentCast for real estate valuations, Card Ladder and Fanatics Collect for card data) supply the raw data.

Stirpi is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, tax adviser, or accountant. Nothing in the app is financial, legal, or tax advice. Valuations, models, and forecasts (including the WAR Curve fair-value estimates) are informational and can be wrong. Verify anything material with a licensed professional before acting.

You are responsible for the credentials you use to sign in, for activity under your account, and for keeping your recovery email current. Notify us immediately at support@stirpi.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share your account with anyone outside your household or resell access to Stirpi.

Stirpi is free during beta. When paid tiers launch, subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected until canceled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which govern payment, billing, tax, and refund mechanics. Prices are shown in the checkout flow and may change with at least 30 days' notice.

You can cancel at any time from Settings or via paddle.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Paddle per our Refund Policy.

You own the financial data, images, notes, and records you or your household members put into Stirpi ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate the service for you.

We do not sell Your Content, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models. See the Security & Privacy Policy for full detail, including how the Chrome extension runs entirely in your browser session.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access accounts, households, or data that are not yours.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its APIs.
• Use Stirpi to violate any third party's terms of service — including the vault marketplaces the extension interacts with — or any applicable law.
• Upload malware, spam, or content you do not have the right to upload.
• Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or usage tiers.

Stirpi integrates with third parties (Plaid, Paddle, RentCast, Card Ladder, Fanatics Collect, and others). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions.

The Stirpi Chrome extension runs in your logged-in browser session on the vault marketplaces you connect. You are responsible for complying with those marketplaces' terms. We may update the extension at any time; you agree to keep a reasonably current version installed.

You may close your account at any time from Settings — deletion is completed within 30 days and cascades across every table associated with your user. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that create legal risk for us, or that we reasonably believe are compromised. Where possible, we will give notice before acting.

Stirpi is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that valuations are accurate, that sync will be uninterrupted, or that the service will meet your requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matthew Cranford (d/b/a Cranford Custom Code) and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of Stirpi. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Matthew Cranford (d/b/a Cranford Custom Code) from any claim arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

We may modify the service, features, or these Terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice (typically by email or an in-app banner) and, where required, obtain consent. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual-property rights.

These Terms and the Security & Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Matthew Cranford (d/b/a Cranford Custom Code) regarding Stirpi. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger or sale.
